Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. on Friday settled federal charges claiming the pharmaceutical giant blocked the sale of cheaper generic versions of two of its anti-cancer drugs -- Taxol and Platinol -- and the anti-anxiety drug BuSpar. The Federal Trade Commission said the company's actions protected nearly $2 billion in annual sales. Under the settlement, financial penalties and consumer payments will be negotiated by states that have sued Bristol.
