Attorney General John Ashcroft and House members began their fight on Wednesday for legislation to bypass a U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down a ban on computer simulations of child pornography. Last month, the Court struck down part of a 1996 law intended to stop pornography produced by computer wizardry that wasn't available when child pornography was placed outside First Amendment protection in 1982.
