FINDLAW BEEFS UP FindLaw Inc. has announced that visitors to www.findlaw.com can now access information on more than 4,500 West Group print, CD-ROM and online products and services and make purchases, directly from FindLaw’s site. Researchers exploring a topical area or jurisdiction on FindLaw can access relevant West Group products at the touch of a key. West Group purchased FindLaw last year. I-DEP RELAUNCH I-DEP has relaunched its Web site, featuring a fully integrated streaming media Internet deposition service that includes full video, two-way audio, real-time transcript and a built-in chat feature for discreet communication via computer or telephone, with off-site and on-site participants. Lawyers can take, participate in or monitor a deposition from any online computer live, as it happens, without any special hardware or software. PATRIOT PAGE Kilpatrick Stockton’s anti-terrorism task force has added a new Web page to its site to provide clients with the latest compliance information and deadlines for the U.S.A. Patriot Act of 2001. The firm formed the task force to address issues and questions related to passage of new laws and regulations resulting from the events of Sept. 11. LAWMOOSE Pritchard Law Webs announces the first birthday of its LawMoose Web site, which was also named “Site of the Year” by Netlawtools.com. LawMoose is a search engine, a directory of Web sites, and a community knowledge server by, for, and about Minnesota legal institutions and the Minnesota legal community. Visitors can identify and choose lawyers, mediators, arbitrators, experts and more, and search across hundreds of Minnesota legal and law-related Web sites. FILEBASKET.COM Filebasket.com is a shareware and freeware archive with thousands of Windows programs, games and utilities. Visitors can search available titles by search engine, browsing specific categories, or filtering based on prices, user reviews or file size. The site scans author Web sites for new versions of their programs several times a day, and users can sign up for e-mail notifications triggered when new versions of their favorite programs are posted for download. There is also a CD-ROM ordering option by which users can select up to 600 megabytes of software and have a custom CD-ROM burned and delivered for $10, the company reports.
