Piper Marbury Rudnick & Wolfe (Chicago): The firm has expanded its Washington, D.C., office with the addition of a four-lawyer practice headed by Ann K. Ford. Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman (Washington, D.C.): James J. Hoecker, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission until January 2001, has joined the firm’s energy practice as a partner.
