NEW HIRES New York-based Dewey Ballantineannounced that Lisa Hill Fenning, a former United States bankruptcy judge for the Central District of California, has joined the Firm’s Los Angeles Bankruptcy practice as a Partner. Judge Fenning was appointed bankruptcy judge for the Central District of California in 1985 and remained on that court until April 30, 2000. Since then, she has served as a mediator/arbitrator with JAMS in Orange County, Calif. Judge Fenning’s practice focus will include workout and bankruptcy reorganizations, as well as continued commercial and bankruptcy mediation. Chicago’s Baker & McKenzieadded Brian Hengesbaugh as an associate to its global E-Commerce Practice Group. Formerly special counsel to the general counsel of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Hengesbaugh’s experiences include negotiating the development of the U.S./EU Safe Harbor privacy principles. Hengesbaugh earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. The Boston office of Pittsburgh, Pa.’s Kirkpatrick & Lockhartadded Michael S. Caccese, Jeffrey L. Snow, and Ronan P. O’Brien. Caccese joins the firm as a partner, focusing his practice on investment management and securities law. He received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1980. Also, Michael L. Addicott, a partner at Addicott & Addicott in Hollywood, Fla., was re-elected mayor of Golden Beach, Fla. NEW JERSEY On the Move New Jersey Law Journal Lawyer news from New Jersey includes the announcement that Peter Bejsiuk, a partner with Mount Laurel, N.J.’s Capehart & Scatchard, was named managing shareholder of the firm. Also, the Princeton office of Philadelphia’s Dechert welcomes a new partner.
