APPOINTMENTS Torys announced that Charles E. “Trip” Dorkey III has been appointed to the Advisory Council for the Housing Part of the Civil Court of the City of New York. Dorkey, 52, is managing partner of the New York office of Torys, the head of the firm’s New York litigation practice, and a member of Torys’ Executive Committee. NEW HIRES Chadbourne & Parke announced that David M. LeMay will join the firm as a partner in its Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Department. Faith E. Gay has joined the Miami office of New York’s White & Case as a litigation partner. She previously headed the white collar practice at Sidley & Austin’s New York office. She received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1986. Paul I. Rachlin has joined New York’s Proskauer Rose as a partner in the firm’s corporate department. He was previously a partner with Washington D.C.’s Arnold & Porter in their New York office. He received his J.D. from Washington University in 1986. Dr. Paul B. Abramson has joined Minneapolis’ Dorsey & Whitney as a partner in the corporate group in New York. He was previously a partner in New York in the project finance group of San Francisco’s Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University of Chicago in 1984 and his doctorate in theoretical physics from the University of Colorado in 1968. Seattle’s Perkins Coie has named Randy L. Parcel managing partner of its expanding Denver office. His practice focuses on mining and public land law. He received his J.D. from Northwestern University in 1970. John R. Hammond III has joined Indianapolis’ Ice Miller as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s government services practice. He was previously a partner with Indianapolis’ Johnson Smith. He received his J.D. from Indiana University in 1991. Mark Weeks has joined Washington, D.C.’s Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as a partner in the corporate and technology practice in the firm’s New York office. He was previously a partner at New York’s Hughes, Hubbard & Reed. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1988. David S. Mouber has joined Kansas City’s Morrison & Hecker as a partner in the business practice. He was previously a partner in the Kansas City office of St. Louis’ Bryan Cave. He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1971. Mark M. Hrenya has joined Palo Alto, Calif.’s Cooley Godward as a partner in the business practice in Denver. He was previously a partner with Denver’s Holme Roberts & Owen. He received his J.D. from the University of Denver in 1995. Dori F. Chadbourne has joined Portland, Maine’s Pierce Atwood as an associate in the firm’s litigation department. She was previously with Boston’s Goodwin Procter & Hoar. She received her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1993.
