Today’s selection by Richard Danner, senior associate dean for information technology and research professor of law at Duke University School of Law. Danner is also a past president of AALL. SESSION: Diversity Symposium: Racial and Sexual Intolerance (Supported by LEXIS Publishing) DATE: Saturday, July 15, 2000 TIME: 2:30:00 PM – 5:00:00 PM LOCATION: Marriott-Meeting Room 302/303 REASON TO ATTEND: For a number of years, AALL has held diversity symposia on Saturday afternoons: this year’s is on the topic of racial profiling and hate crimes, and intolerance based on race or sexual orientation. AALL has a long history of tolerance and opposition to discrimination on any grounds, and the diversity symposium is an excellent means for newer and experienced members to reaffirm those positions while learning more about current issues. Everyone who comes to Philadelphia on Saturday should stop in for at least part of that session.
