Opponents of California's "Baby Bar" exam are objecting to a State Bar committee's lobbying to retain the test, given to 1Ls in unaccredited law schools. Critics say a letter the bar examiners sent to Governor Gray Davis requesting he veto pending legislation does not say that the request was not adopted by the bar's Board of Governors. Bar officials say the letter doesn't mislead.
