Robert Meyer, 40, previously a prosecutor and counsel at the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section, has joined Milwaukee’s Foley & Lardner as a partner in their D.C. office. He will specialize in white-collar defense cases and internal corporate investigations. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. Don S. Hershman, 42, formerly a partner at Chicago’s Holleb & Coff, has joined Chicago’s Much, Shelist, Freed, Denenberg, Ament & Rubenstein as a partner. He specializes in securities, mergers and acquisitions, and finance. He received his J.D. from Loyola University in 1982. Haverford, Penn.’s Chimicles & Tikellis has hired two new associates. Timothy R. Dudderar has joined the Wilmington, Del., office, where he works with complex civil and derivative action suits. He is a 1999 cum laude graduate of Villanova University School of Law. Kimberly M. Donaldson has joined the Haverford office. Donaldson will work on investor and consumer litigation and antitrust law. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 1999. Damon A. Pace, previously a sole practitioner in Philadelphia, will join Philadelphia’s Atkins & Cohen as an associate. Pace specializes in workers’ compensation and general litigation matters. He received his J.D. from Howard University. Houston’s Fulbright & Jaworski has hired Melissa Fraser, 29, to the firm’s litigation practice in Washington, D.C., as an associate. She focuses on administrative law, with a concentration on the oil and gas industries. She received her J.D. from City University of New York School of Law in 1998. Cleveland’s Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue has hired two new attorneys in its Washington, D.C. office. Michael McFalls, 31, will rejoin the firm as an associate. He was previously an associate at the firm before joining the Federal Trade Commission as an advisor to Chairman Robert Pitofsky. He will continue to work in antitrust and trade regulation matters. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Kenneth Krupsky, 53, will join the firm as a partner specializing in international tax matters, including corporate transactions and policy. He was previously a partner at Miller & Chevalier in Washington, D.C. He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, from which he graduated in 1972. Sughrue, Mion, Zinn, Macpeak & Seas in Washington, D.C., has hired two former attorneys from Arlington, VA-based Shoemaker & Mattare as of counsel, expanding their trademark group practice. Kevin Smith, 46, was previously managing partner at Shoemaker. He received his J.D. from the now defunct Potomac School of Law. Jody Haller Drake, 45, joins the firm as of counsel. She was a partner at Shoemaker. She received her J.D. from Western New England School of Law in 1981. PROMOTIONS Hinshaw & Culbertson in Chicago has elevated Rendi L. Mann-Stadt, Jerrod L. Barenbaum and Penelope M. Lechtenberg to partnership status. Mann-Stadt works from the firm’s Springfield, Ill., office and concentrates her practice in regulatory, employment and commercial litigation matters. She received her J.D. from the University of Illinois. Barenbaum, who practices out of the firm’s Rockford, Ill. office, focuses on representation of health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation. He received his J.D. from DePaul University. Lechtenberg, also in the Rockford office, is a labor and employment attorney who represents management in matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She received her J.D. from Chicago Kent College of Law. David P. Gesser, 39, has become a member of Garden City, N.Y.’s Shaw, Licitra, Bohner, Esernio & Schwartz. He concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate law, including the representation of physicians in business transactions. A 1985 graduate of the National Law Center at George Washington University, he joined the firm in 1994 and was previously an associate. BIG HIRES New York’s Proskauer Rose has hired three new partners in lateral moves to its corporate practice. Peter M. Fass was previously a partner at New York’s now defunct Battle Fowler in the real estate securities and finance practice group. He received his J.D. from Harvard University in 1961 and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1964. Steven L. Lichtenfeld was also a partner in Battle Fowler’s real estate securities and finance practice group. He received his J.D. from American University in 1981. Kathy H. Rocklen, formerly a sole practitioner, also joins the firm as a partner. She received her J.D. from the New England School of Law in 1977. Steven A. Fishman, a member at Battle Fowler, will join Proskauer as senior counsel. He specializes in corporate, securities and commercial litigation. He received his J.D. from New York University in 1976. Seven associates are also joining Proskauer from Battle Fowler. Rockville, Md.’s Stein, Sperling, Bennett, De Jong, Driscoll & Greenfeig has hired three new attorneys to its home office. Kevin Fay, 56, who joins as of counsel, was previously a sole practitioner in Montgomery County with a focus on business law, real estate, and estate planning and probate issues. Fay received a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1973. Beth McIntosh, 42, who also joins the firm as of counsel, concentrates on business and real estate transactions. She was previously of counsel at Gaithersburg’s Hirschel, Savitz, Parker, & Hollman. She received a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1983 and an LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1985. Jo Ellen Ardinger, who recently graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law, joins the firm as an associate and will focus mainly on civil litigation and personal injury cases. Ardinger, 29, got her start at the firm in 1994 as a paralegal, a position she held through law school. Sophie Lambert, Sheldon Pontaoe and Matthew Kye have joined Minneapolis’ Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly as associates in the New York office. Lambert, 27, will focus on international and immigration law. She was previously an associate at New York’s Vaneria & Sesti. She received her LL.M. from Cornell University in 1997 Pontaoe, 34, will focus on intellectual property and Internet and e-commerce. He was previously an associate at New York’s McAulay Nissen Goldberg Kiel & Hand. He received his J.D. from New York Law School in 1994. Kye will focus on commercial law, banking and bankruptcy. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. ELECTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS J. Lee Snead, 39, a senior associate in the litigation practice group at Jaspan Schlesinger Hoffman in Garden City, N.Y., has been elected a trustee for the Village of Bellport, N.Y. He received his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 1992. Douglas M. Halsey, 47, a partner at the Miami office of New York’s White & Case, has been named chair of the board of directors of the Children’s Home Society of Florida. He is the chair of the firm’s environmental practice. He received his J.D. from the University of Miami in 1979.
