When Rohm & Haas vice president and general counsel Robert Lonergan was recently informed by a Philadelphia law firm that his bills would be going up, he asked if it was a response to the recent wave of associate salary raises.
“They said they made the decision in January but just got around to telling us about it now,” Lonergan said. “I guess it was just an interesting coincidence.”
