The Pennsylvania Bar Association responded swiftly to the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s suit against it by going immediately to the commonwealth’s highest court.

In a 32-page document, the PBA yesterday requested “extraordinary relief” from the Supreme Court, and asked it to assume jurisdiction over the matter, which the PBI filed in Orphans’ Court in Philadelphia County under the high court’s King’s Bench power.
