A New York appeals court affirmed a $250,000 judgment against a Manhattan law firm and one of its partners in a sexual harassment suit by a former associate, Lisa Sier. Although it reduced a $300,000 judgment for emotional distress against Jacobs Persinger & Parker to $200,000, the court allowed $50,000 in punitive damages against the partner, Scott M. Shepard, who took an unusual interest in Sier's clothing and her body.
