In 1991, charter investors and employees in Brian Alden Kahan’s pharmaceuticals company — Aldencare Inc. — viewed their stock certificates as a promise of future financial rewards.
They remained confident all was well as the Boca Raton, Fla., company grew and prospered, changing its name to CompScript Inc. in 1995 and, a year later, adding CompScript-Boca Inc.
