While the legal profession debates the merits of multidisciplinary practice and the expansion of services, title companies are one service unlikely to find a place at New Jersey’s law firms.
In an opinion published last week, the New Jersey state Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics says that a law firm may not establish a separate title company for its foreclosure clients.
