For seven real estate records workers in the Fulton County, Ga. Superior Court Clerk’s Office, ringing in the new year meant mandatory overtime — and now the prospect of 10-day suspensions without pay.

Fulton Superior Court Clerk Juanita Hicks confirms the seven employees from the Records Processing Division were notified of her intent to suspend them for refusing to stay after hours Dec. 30 until the remainder of critical 1999 work was completed.
