New Jersey politicians might be lukewarm toward Bill Bradley, but New Jersey lawyers favor the former U.S. senator over Vice President Albert Gore in the race for the Democratic nomination for president, if campaign contributions are any indication.
As of Dec. 1, New Jersey attorneys gave $280,450 to Bradley in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington, D.C.- based organization that interprets Federal Election Commission records. Gore raised less than one-third of that amount from New Jersey lawyers — $86,205.
