You won’t hear that announcement at the Academy Awards show later this month, but the brass at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences knows who’s watching their backs legally. Quinn and Quinto, partners at Los Angeles’ Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges, have long been the Academy’s outside counsel. Theirs, however, is a far more hands-on gig than most entertainment lawyers ever experience.
