When the e-mail circulated around Philidelphia-based Morgan Lewis & Bockius yesterday, most lawyers and staff laughed it off as an early April Fools Day joke. Could one of the nation’s oldest, largest — and certainly most traditional — law firms possibly make casual day an every day occurrence?
“I’m not quite sure everyone believed it when they saw it,” managing partner of operations Tom Sharbaugh said after announcing that the firm would officially switch its dress code to business casual wear every day.
