The Georgia Court of Appeals has granted Atlanta lawyer Franklin R. Nix a second chance in his libel suit against the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Nix filed suit March 9, 1998, charging that the newspaper libeled him in a 1997 article bearing the headline, “Rogue Lawyers: Who Polices Them?” Five months later, then-Chief State Court Judge Charles C. Carnes granted the paper’s motion to dismiss.
