The stay of a preliminary injunction was lifted and the original order enjoining the Walt Disney Company from using its “Go Network” logo was reinstated Jan. 27 by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals(GoTo.com. Inc. v. Walt Disney Co., 9th Cir., No.99-56691, stay lifted, C.D. Calif., No. CV-99-01674-TJH, 1/27/00).

GoTo.com, an Internet search engine, filed suit against Disney and other related companies in February 1999, claiming that Disney’s then newly launched “Go Network” was unlawfully using a logo that was confusingly similar to the logo that GoTo.com had been using since December 1997.
