Employment defense attorney John M. Letizia says a new federal plan to reduce the number of disabling workplace injuries is unnecessary and will prove costly for Connecticut employers.
But supporters say the ergonomics proposal announced last month by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is badly needed, will prevent a huge number of injuries, and drive down workers’ compensation costs.
