Sunnyvale, Calif.’s Redback Networks Inc. has retained Menlo Park, Calif.’s Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian L.L.P. to handle its $4.3 billion proposed merger with Mountain View, Calif.’s Siara Systems. Siara has hired Palo Alto, Calif.’s Fenwick & West L.L.P.
The Gunderson attorneys are partners Robert B. Gunderson and Daniel Niehans, and associates Renee F. Lanam, David B. Davis and Heather M. Shane. The Fenwick attorneys representing Siara are partners Barry J. Kramer, Ken Linhares, Scott Spector and Jim Garahan, and associates Tyler Cozzens and Pamela Sergeeff. Neither company has an in-house legal department.
