A national legal advocacy group has joined the defense of a young Georgia mother charged with murder for allegedly causing her baby’s death by taking drugs while pregnant.

The Center for Reproductive Law and Policy, a nonprofit organization that focuses on reproductive rights, has signed on to assist Royston defense lawyer F. Mayes Davison in defending 21-year-old Shannon Moss of Franklin County.
