1. Check with your client’s Web site operator regarding their online marketing practices. What are they doing about providing advertisement to site visitors? Are they customizing the ad content? Are they “pushing” special editorial content to their site visitors?

2. What information is gathered from the site? Are cookies used? (“Cookies” are text files transferred to your computer to store information you have given to a Web site, typically in the registration process or when purchasing more than one item.) Are cookies used by their advertisers? Do they have information sharing agreements? Is cookie information combined?
