Coors Brewing Co. has blinked in its trademark battle with Fort Lauderdale’s Citrix Systems Inc.
Citrix Systems, which makes software, sued Coors on March 4 in Broward Circuit Court seeking to bar the beer maker from using the name Citrix in a new drink it is marketing under the name Zima Citrix. Citrix Systems contended Coors’ use of the Zima Citrix name diluted the “distinctive quality of Citrix’s well-known and highly distinctive ‘Citrix’ mark,” the lawsuit stated.
