Coors Brewing Co. has blinked in its trademark battle with Fort Lauderdale software maker Citrix Systems Inc. Citrix had sued Coors last month seeking to bar the beer maker from using the name Citrix in a new malt beverage it's marketing under the name Zima Citrix. Coors last week agreed as part of a settlement to rename the drink, which it has test-marketed in Florida, Tennessee and Arizona. No monetary damages were involved, according to a Coors spokeswoman.

Coors Brewing Co. has blinked in its trademark battle with Fort Lauderdale’s Citrix Systems Inc.
Citrix Systems, which makes software, sued Coors on March 4 in Broward Circuit Court seeking to bar the beer maker from using the name Citrix in a new drink it is marketing under the name Zima Citrix. Citrix Systems contended Coors’ use of the Zima Citrix name diluted the “distinctive quality of Citrix’s well-known and highly distinctive ‘Citrix’ mark,” the lawsuit stated.
