A victim of mistaken identity who was wrongly imprisoned by the Marines for desertion has settled his suit against the government for an undisclosed sum, his lawyer says.

Marc H. Bardack of Harmon, Smith, Bridges & Wilbanks says nine hours of mediation Friday convinced his client, Martin Lejean King, to drop his case against the government and the ex-Marine colonel who oversaw the brig at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
