Wu returned from an all-female retreat for Andrews' lawyers and clients and says the event demonstrates this recognition of women's needs within the firm. And, borrowing from the example of Lewis Platt's ascendance to CEO of Hewlett-Packard and the company's resulting support of employees with families, Wu concludes that firms need a few more single dads to make life better for women and men in firms.
