RJ Reynolds has been hit with an antitrust suit brought by a Pennsylvania tobacco and candy distributor that claims the tobacco giant joined forces with another distributor to wage a smear campaign designed to drive the first company out of business.

Attorney Mark S. Halpern of Halpern & Levy filed the suit along with attorneys Robert E. Welsh, Jr. and Lisa A. Matthewson of Welsh & Recker on behalf of Mid-Valley Candy Co. of Peckville, Pa.
