A recently filed suit against Ford Motor Co. claims that a device that cools parked vehicles' interiors during hot weather could have saved a Georgia boy's life last year. Atlanta attorney James L. Seifter filed the product liability suit against Ford on behalf of the family of a 3-year-old boy who died in June 1998, while locked inside a Ford Club Wagon van. The van was parked in 95-degree heat. Samuel Oh died of hyperthermia after the van's interior reached 180 degrees, the suit claims.
