A senior judge chastised a Fulton assistant district attorney and ordered him jailed until he apologizes to a judge for a dispute over a stalled murder case. In an order issued Friday, a visiting Superior Court judge said Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane was right to find Assistant DA Myrlin D. Earle in contempt after a Dec. 7 hearing. He called Earle's actions an "unjustified and serious affront to Judge Lane, defense counsel, the judiciary, as well as to the legal profession."
