A federal appeals panel has ordered new sentences for a group of protesters who destroyed property at an Army school for foreign soldiers. The 11th Circuit ruled that a district judge should have let the protesters' second sentences for related convictions run concurrently with their first sentences. Most of the group have already been released, but the group's leader, a Jesuit priest, is still in a Wa. state federal prison. The ruling means that he should be released soon too.
