Internet retailing giant Amazon.com filed suit in Delaware to fend off a bid by a Greek couple to set up an allegedly copy-cat World Wide Web site called “Amazon.gr” to sell Greek books and music to U.S. customers.

In a suit filed in federal court in Wilmington, Seattle-based Amazon.com contends that CITI Services Inc. and its owners, Greg Lloyd Smith and Aikaterini Theochari, are selling books and music on their Greece-based site and shipping the merchandise to customers in the U.S.
