A federal jury in Atlanta has awarded the parents of a deceased illegal immigrant $472,511 in a wrongful death suit, believed to be the first of its kind in Georgia. The defendant in the case, a roofing company, will appeal the verdict, says the company's attorney. Fabian Gonzales Zaragosa, 17, had been in the U.S. for about a month and had only been working for a maximum of two days when an unidentified worker dropped a 60-pound roll of felt from the roof. It struck and instantly killed Zaragosa.
