A Bronx man’s suit againstthe Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York and its leader Cardinal JohnO’Connor for injury he allegedly sustained when sexually molested by apriest has been pared of its emotional distress, breach of fiduciary dutyand fraud claims.

But a Manhattan judge, inGuzman v. Mills, which was filed in Supreme Court, New York County,IA Part 16, has allowed the man’s claim for negligent retention and supervisionof the priest to go forward.
