Saying his “indulgence has now expired,” a Fulton judge Thursday ordered two Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporters tojail unless they reveal confidential sources in their Richard Jewell stories.

Until the issue is resolved in an appeals court, however, AJC reporters Kathy Scruggs and Ron Martz will remain free.Fulton State Court Judge John R. Mather stayed his contempt order once the newspaper filed a notice of appeal, whichthe newspaper quickly did Thursday afternoon.
