Following the lead of other Bay Area firms that have found success in the Pacific Northwest’s burgeoning high-tech market, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe has announced plans to open a Seattle office in late June or early July.

The venerable San Francisco firm will encounter some familiar names and faces in Washington: Cooley Godward opened shop in nearby Kirkland last fall; and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati announced plans for its own outpost one year ago.
