Documentary film maker Michael Moore, of “Roger & Me” and the television series “The Awful Truth”, won the first round in his criminal harassment charges against a former employee. New York Criminal Court Judge Arthur M. Schack ruled that Edelstein, who allegedly harassed Moore after being fired, must face trial on two misdemeanor counts, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree. The criminal complaint charged film maker Alan Edelstein with using a bullhorn to attempt to shout down Moore as he delivered a speech at the University of Massachusetts, and using a video camera to record Moore’s appearance in upper Manhattan. The judge notes with irony that “the tables have been turned: Mr Moore, the aggressive interviewer, has become the victim of acts he once perpetuated.”
