An appeals court has OK’d the National Science Foundation’s disbursement of $62 million in Internet research grants.

Last Friday, the D.C. Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals rejected allegations in Thomas v. Network Solutions Inc., 98-5502, that the foundation obtained the $62 million through an unconstitutional tax on the registration of second-level domain names.
