Albert J. Henderson, a senior judge on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court ofAppeals, died of a collapsed lung Tuesday, one day before his retirementparty. He was 78.

Henderson, who was suffering from emphysema, went to Kennestone Hospitalin Marietta Monday evening to have his hearing aid examined when his lungcollapsed, according to his secretary, Barbara Finch Smith.
