For six years, Network Solutions Inc.(NSI) was the exclusive registrar of .com, .net and .org domain names. And for almost all that time, trademark owners, domain name registrants and IP counsel have been complaining about NSI’s dispute resolution policy.

Now, NSI is no longer the exclusive registrar for these desirable top-level domains. America Online, CORE, France Telecom/Oleane, Melbourne IT and register.comare registrars, too, and more registrars will have been added after June 24. And it appears there will be even more complaints about the registrars’ policies for resolving domain name disputes.
