FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 25 – Will Clark knows the conventional wisdom. It says the Baltimore Orioles are too old and that their clubhouse mix is too combustible. It says they’re headed for trouble, maybe not here in the warm and fuzzy glow of spring training, but certainly down the road when a losing streak or a difficult defeat tests this odd collection of aging stars and free-agent imports.

Today, as he put on his new uniform for the first time, Clark said he does not buy any of it.
