Willkie Farr & Gallagher has appointed Thomas Cerabino and Steven Gartner to serve as vice chairmen under current chairman Jack H. Nusbaum. Cerabino is co-chairman of the law firm’s mergers and acquisition practice and Gartner serves as co-chairman law firm’s private equity practice. Both attorneys are members of Willkie Farr’s executive committee and serve as co-chairmen of its corporate and financial services department. In announcing the new appointments as part of the creation of the firm’s Office of the Chairman, Nusbaum said that the move was an important step in the evolution of its leadership. He joined Willkie Farr as a part-time clerk in 1962 and became co-chairman of the 637-attorney New York-based law firm in 1988.
