Douglas A. Blaze has been named dean of the College of Law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Blaze was in private practice in Phoenix prior to joining UT in 1993 as director of clinical programs. He was serving as interim associate dean for academic affairs when named dean. “I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to work with everyone involved — faculty, students and alumni — to make a great place even better,” Blaze said. Professor John Sobieski, who has been acting dean since August 2006, will return to teaching full time.
