BOSTON – Sullivan & Worcester formed a new credit crisis task force to handle work related to loan defaults and restructurings, government investigations, bankruptcies and new regulation. The Boston-based firm tapped Boston partner and litigator Paul E. Summit and George P. Lindsay, the co-founder and managing partner of the firm’s New York office to lead the group. The group, which includes lawyers specializing in litigation, finance and bankruptcy, plans to tap other lawyers with expertise in tax law, real estate, investment management and securities law, Lindsay said. “The goal of this practice is to help our clients prepare for and respond to the economic challenges precipitated by the sub-prime mortgage crisis to minimize the overall impact on their businesses,” Lindsay said.
