Grant & Eisenhofer of Wilmington, Del., has added two attorneys and announced the opening of a Washington office, which will specialize in False Claims Act cases, whistleblower cases, and employee class action litigation. Reuben A. Guttman and Ann Lugbill bring extensive experience representing whistleblowers and workers in False Claims matters. Guttman joins as senior counsel and Lugbill as of counsel. “We are fortunate in launching a False Claims and employment practice to do so with the addition of Reuben Guttman and Ann Lugbill, who have successfully litigated in these fields for many years and across numerous industry sectors, achieving tremendous results for clients, especially in cases involving government and corporate whistleblowers,” Jay Eisenhofer, the firm’s managing partner, said in a news release. The firm said whistleblower and False Claims Act litigation marks a natural expansion of its focus of representing investors in securities and corporate governance litigation. Through litigation under various federal and state False Claim Acts, whistleblowers can step into the shoes of government enforcers and initiate civil litigation targeted to recover money from those doing business with the government, the firm said. Grant & Eisenhofer has also launched a new Web site, www.whistleblowerlaws.com, which follows whistleblower actions across the country. The Washington office is the third one for the firm, which has an office in New York in addition to the Delaware headquarters. The boutique firm was founded in 1997 and has more than 30 lawyers.
