Los Angeles’ Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has appointed new co-partners-in-charge of the firm’s Washington office. Arthur Pasternak and Karen Manos replace Stephanie Tsacoumis and Mark Perry, who have stepped down but will continue their legal practices. “We welcome Art and Karen in their new leadership roles and look forward to working with them in this capacity,” Ken Doran, the firm’s managing partner, said in a news release. “Stephanie and Mark have done an excellent job serving as the face and voice of the D.C. office, and we thank them for their commitment and efforts to lead our D.C. office.” The office expanded by 23% to 154 lawyers over the last five years and has seen several key laterals over the last two years. Manos is a government and commercial contracts partner who focuses on government contract cost accounting. She has more than 20 years of experience in a range of government contracts issues, including civil and criminal fraud investigations and litigation, complex claims preparation and litigation, bid protests and corporate compliance programs. Pasternak, who chairs the firm’s tax practice group, focuses on advice to foreign corporations and individuals regarding real estate investments and corporate acuisitions in the United States and Europe; U.S. clients with respect to international activities; and domestic corporatations and partnerships on general U.S. tax issues. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has 900 lawyers in 14 offices.
