In its latest expansion move, Bryan Cave, the 1,000-lawyer corporate and financial firm, has opened a San Francisco office to broaden its reach on the Pacific Rim. The firm currently has more than 100 lawyers in its California offices in Los Angeles and Irvine. Leading the San Francisco office will be Lynn S. McCreary, who previously worked at the firm’s Kansas City office practicing in the area of civil litigation, labor, employment and white-collar defense. She represents individuals and businesses in commercial disputes, complex class action, and employment and civil rights disputes. Relocating to San Francisco will be Patricia Wyrod and associates Stephanie Blazewicz, David de Ruig and Tarun Mehta. Kansas City partner Herb Kohn will spend several months in San Francisco getting the office off the ground. “Establishing a San Francisco office is consistent with one of our strategic goals, which is to position ourselves to address our clients’ legal needs in key markets and practices,” said Don Lents, chairman of Bryan Cave. The firm has recently grown its operations, opening offices in Milan and Hamburg. It has also entered the Chinese market by establishing an affiliation with Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing-based Alpha & Leader, to supplement Bryan Cave’s offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Bryan Cave has 22 offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
