Events Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel will hold its monthly CLE luncheon at 12:15 p.m. March 18 at the Union League, Broad and Sansom streets. Announcement Stephen Raslavich is designated to serve as chief judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for a five-year term, which began March 1. New Partner Karen L. Palestini has joined Saul Ewingas a partner in the business department and a member of the health law practice group in its Princeton, N.J., office. She is the eighth attorney to join the firm’s Princeton office since the beginning of the year. Palestini concentrates her practice in health care. She assists clients with licensure and accreditation surveys, compliance plans, physician recruitment, employment arrangements, medical and staff issues, tax-exempt organization issues and health information privacy. She also provides counsel on compliance with federal and state laws governing health care referrals. �
