CHICAGO — A group of eight Chicago attorneys have moved from Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell to DLA Piper, mainly joining the firm’s litigation practice group. Albert E. Fowerbaugh, Jr., Andrew R. Gifford, Randall A. Hack, Matthew S. Klepper, Ronald M. Lepinskas, will stay in Chicago to join the larger DLA’s litigation group, the firm said in a release. Timothy W. Brink and Forrest B. Lammiman will be added to the firm’s financial restructuring and bankruptcy team, and Douglass F. Rohrman will join as of counsel and be a part of the environmental practice group, according to the release. DLA, a firm that has roots as a smaller Chicago enterprise and grew to become the largest U.S. firm based on a worldwide lawyer headcount through a 2005 three-way, trans-Atlantic merger, now has 1,400 litigators in 25 offices, the firm said. The firm’s Chicago office is its largest with about 280 attorneys. Locke Liddell & Sapp merged last year with Lord Bissell & Brook.
