New Additions Lorena E. Ahumada has joined the Philadelphia-based law firm Kleinbard Bell & Brecker. She concentrates her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and counseling, and insurance coverage law. She served as law clerk to Judge Petrese B. Tucker of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to her clerkship, she practiced law at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll. Ahumada serves on the board of directors for the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania and as treasurer of the association’s legal education fund. She also is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association.   Holly M. Klooshas joined Duffy Connors. She is a graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law and American University. Prior to joining the firm, she was a trial attorney in the Berks County Office of the Public Defender. Kloos will concentrate her practice in workers’ compensation.   Elected and Appointed Gerard A. Dever has been elected as a member of Fine Kaplan & Black. Dever concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation and, in particular, antitrust law. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust matters, including class actions, criminal matters and merger reviews. In addition, Dever has litigated a variety of non-antitrust cases including contract disputes, legal malpractice and consumer class actions. He is chairman of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s antitrust law committee.   Richard C. DeMarcohas been named of counsel at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg & Ellers. He is a member of the firm’s zoning and land use practice group. His practice concentrated on zoning and land use matters as well as administrative law, government law and real estate and zoning litigation.   Grant S. Palmerof Blank Romehas been elected to serve as secretary of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Palmer has been active with the foundation for more than four years, serving as a trustee on the board of directors and being recognized with the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Michael K. Smith Excellence in Service Award.   Kenneth E. Aaron, a partner at Weir & Partners, has been reappointed to his sixth three-year term as a member of the Lower Merion Zoning Hearing Board. He also has been re-elected as chairman of the Zoning Board of Lower Merion Township, a position he has held since 2004. Aaron’s practice focuses on creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, but he has represented various parties in zoning and land use applications before boards in Philadelphia and in other suburban communities. �
